One Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre was killed by the soldiers of Bastar Fighter, Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), Special Task Force (STF), and District Reserve Guard (DRG) in an encounter in the jungle hill area between Dodi Tumnar and Gondpalli villages under Jagargunda Police Station limits in Sukma District of Chhattisgarh on March 24, reportslivehindustan.com. The dead body of the slain Maoist and a large quantity of explosives, two printer machines, and Naxalite [Left Wing Extremism, LWE] paraphernalia have been recovered from the incident site. The incident has been confirmed by Superintendent of Police (SP) Kiran Chauhan, and it is being told that the slain Maoist has been identified as the ‘commander’ Aavalam Podiya alias Sannu (25) of Gangalur Area Committee.
A District Reserve Guard (DRG) trooper, identified as Deepak Durgam, was injured in an attack by a Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) small action team at the Atal Awas complex near the Gorna Mankeli Forest and the Bijapur-Gangaloor Road in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh on March 24, reports latestly.com. "DRG jawan Deepak Durgam has been injured after a firing was done by the small action team of Maoists in the Atal Awas complex, located on the outer Bijapur-Gangaloor Road of Gorna Mankeli forest of Bijapur," the Police said, adding that his condition is stable and he is no longer in danger.
