A self-styled Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) ‘zonal commander’, identified as Laldeep Ganjhu alias Kaltu, carrying a reward of INR onemillion on his head, surrendered before Superintendent of Police (SP) Anjani Anjan in Latehar District of Jharkhand on February 10, reports The Times of India. The SP said that Laldeep was wanted in eight cases in two Police Stations in Latehar and one in Bihar. Anjan said that Laldeep joined the CPI-Maoist organisation in 2004 and has been active in the organisation for 20 years.
