On February 10, at least five militants were killed in an hours-long operation by local peace committee members and Police in the Drazinda area in Dera Ismail Khan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reports The Khorasan Diary. According to locals and Police, 20 militants were traced in the area and engaged. 15 managed to escape, while the remaining five were killed. An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Police also lost his life in the encounter, the Police said.
On February 10, one person was killed and another injured, including a Sub Inspector (SI), when an explosion took place near a car parked near the celebrations of the newly elected member of NA42, Zubair Wazir of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, in Sarikhel area of South Waziristan, reports The Khorasan Diary.
