Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre blew up a portion of railway tracks, causing damage of around two to three metres on the Howrah-Mumbai route in between Mahadevsal and Posoita railway stations in West Singhbhum District of Jharkhand on the late night of December 21, reports Hindustan Times. The Superintendent of Police (SP), Ashutosh Sekhar said that security has been tightened in the locality. The repair work on the railway tracks has been started since early morning. Maoists also put up banners and posters in the area, he added.
