The Collector of Kozhikode, Snehil Kumar, received a threatening message on November 15 from the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) of potential explosions in Kozhikode District of Kerala, similar to the one in Kalamassery in the Ernakulam District, if the government’s actions against the outfit persist, reports eastcoastdaily.in. The Collector promptly handed over the threatening letter to the special branch, which, in turn, transferred it to the Nadakkavu Police Station. As of now, no case has been registered regarding this matter. It is to be noted that at least six people have been killed and 36 others were injured after multiple explosions rocked a convention centre during Jehovah's Witnesses’ convention at Zamra International Convention Centre in Kalamassery on October 29.
