A villager was shot dead by Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres on suspicion of being a ‘police informer’ in Balaghat District of Madhya Pradesh in the wee hours on August 6, reports The Times of India. The victim was identified as Lalu Dhurve of Jagla village, and Police found handwritten notes near his dead body, which said he was 'punished' by the Malajkhand Area Committee because he helped Police.
