The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres have set fire to seven vehicles and machines in Matala village under Ambeda Police Station limits in Kanker District of Chhattisgarh on March 22, reportsenavabharat.com. Police officials said that seven vehicles, including a Joseph Cyril Bamford (JCB) Excavator machine, a mixer machine, a tractor and a water tanker, were set ablaze by the Maoists in Matala village. Police officials said that the road was being constructed from Karmari village to Kiskodo village in the area, but the construction work has been stalled for some time, due to which the contractor had kept the vehicles in Matala village. However, the Police and Security Forces (SFs) who reached the spot have given them full assurance of their safety.
