Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma said that the State Government would have to make an assessment on the impact in view of the movement of United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) militants in Meghalaya, reports The Northeast Today. Earlier an encounter had occurred between ULFA-I and Meghalaya Police in South Garo Hills District of Meghalaya on March 11. Meghalaya Chief Minister (CM) stated that “We will need to assess what kind of impact it will have.” He also added that “We are doing our part to keep the insurgency problem under control.”
