On August 1, National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) of Jammu & Kashmir Police (JKP) raided multiple locations in Bandipora, Srinagar, Shopian, Anantnag, Awantipora, and Pulwama Districts in connection with terror links and terror-funding cases, reports Daily Excelsior. NIA stated the involvement of some Valley-based Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), trusts and societies in funding of terror-related activities, which was being probed in the case. “Some NGOs, both registered as well as unregistered, have been collecting funds domestically and abroad under the cover of doing charity and various welfare activities. But some of these organisations have developed links with proscribed terror organisations such as Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM),” the agency said.
