The countrywide curfew in the morning of May 15 was lifted, reports Colombo Page. The curfew was removed at 6 am in the Northwestern Province and Gampaha Police division; while the curfew in the other areas of the island ended at 4 am, Police media spokesman's office stated. The Wayamba Province Governor Peshala Jayaratne said the academic activities of all schools in the Northwestern Province will be resumed today (May 15). He said all the state institutions in the province will also resume work from today. The curfew was imposed by the Police at 9 pm on May 14 due to communal violence.
