A Police constable, identified as Sheraz, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in an incident of target killing in SITE Town area of Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh, in the night of February 18, reports ARY News. According to Police, Sheraz, was going through Metroville SITE on his motorcycle when unidentified assailants intercepted him and opened fire on him, killing him on the spot. The assailants managed to escape from the scene. The Police collected four spent bullet casings of 9mm pistol from the crime scene. Sheraz had joined the Police force in 2014.
Separately, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on February 18 arrested a terrorist belonging to a banned outfit during a raid in Sukkur Town (Sukkur District) of Sindh, reports ARY News. “The terrorist is identified as Asghar Khan and belonged to an outlawed organization,” the CTD said while further claiming that weapons were recovered from his possession.
