The President has appointed 24 new State Ministers and they took oath before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on April 18 at the President’s House, President’s media Division said, reports Colombo Page. Significantly, Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Dr. Suren Raghavan, who earlier declare himself as an independent Member of Parliament (MP), has also been sworn in as the State Minister for Education Services and Reforms. Meanwhile former Samagi Jana Balawegaya national list MP Diana Gamage was appointed as the new State Minister of Transport. SLFP MP Shantha Bandara, who left the government to be an independent member of parliament, was sworn in as the State Minister of Agriculture.
