Senior leaders of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) during the Standing Committee meeting on June 30, asked Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to step down from the posts of both Prime Minister and the party’s Chairman, reports Republica.Addressing the Standing Committee meeting, the party’s other Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jhala Nath Khanal, Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Bam Dev Gautam demanded that Oli step down from power. At least 18 Standing Committee members sought his resignation during the meeting.
