In a joint operation launched by the Police and the Army, 83 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) planted by the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) were recovered and disabled near Chakrabandha Police Station limits in Gaya District of Bihar on February 26, reports Telangana Today. Among the recoveries, three IEDs weighed 20 kilograms while 71 IEDs weighed 10 kilograms and 9 IEDs weighed 5 kilograms each. The recovered IEDs contained 815 kilograms of explosive ammunition. All IEDs were mounted in consecutive series. Electrical wires have also been recovered at the site.
