A Sindhi nationalist and human right activist Sagar Mukesh was abducted by unidentified persons in Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh, in the night of January 20, reports The Balochistan Post. Sagar Mukesh’s fellow activist has blamed Security Force (SF) for Sagar’s enforced disappearance. According to his colleagues, Sagar Mukesh was a human rights activist and raised his voice for missing persons. Sagar Mukesh used to participate in PTM demonstrations in Karachi and also the demonstrations on various political and student issues. According to reports, he had been forcibly disappeared once before.
Separately, two target killers were arrested during a raid conducted by Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officials in Federal Capital area of Karachi on January 21, reports ARY News. According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) CTD Omar Shahid Hamid, the arrested assassins Zahid Ali and Waseem who are wanted in the assassination of a policeman and other serious crimes. Zahid and Waseem are wanted in more than 30 incidents of street crimes.
