On March 16, a Taliban ‘commander’, identified as Shukrullah alias Jondullah was gunned down by unknown assailants in Fayzabad the provincial capital of Badakhshan Province, reports Hasht-e Subh. Shukrullah was based in Khastak village, located in Jerm District of Badakhshan. He was ambushed while en route to a mosque. He was notorious for his alleged harassment and oppression of residents in the Baharak, Fayzabad, and Jerm Districts of Badakhshan.
