On April 12, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Taliban acting foreign minister, met with Takashi Okada, Japan's ambassador to Afghanistan, to discuss bilateral relations and the political situation in the country, reports The Khaama Press News Agency.According to the Ministry’s statement, Japanese envoys reportedly indicated their country’s desire to develop relationships with the present de facto rulers.
