Cadres of the Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC), a splinter group of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), set a JCB machine and a tractor on fire at a bridge construction site located in Tokisud village in Patratu Police Station area in Ramgarh District of Jharkhand late on June 5, reports UNI. Police said, late on Saturday (June 5) night a group of six armed TPC cadres reached on the spot where a bridge is being constructed on Chotka river and assaulted the workers, fired five rounds in the air, set the two vehicles on fire and finally left behind pamphlets on the spot in which the outfit had asked to stop the work and remove the camp. A source in Police said, the bridge is being constructed on the river by the special division at INR 40 million and for the want of ‘levy’ the incident has been executed by the outfit.
