On March 10, two Adivasi People’s Liberation Army (APLA) militants were arrested from Uriamghat alongside the Assam-Nagaland border in the Golaghat District of Assam, reports Northeast Now. The two militants identified as Sahil Munda, a self-styled ‘commander-in-chief (c-in-c)’ and Jayanta Haok were wanted in several cases linking to extortion and other anti-national activities. Arms and ammunition including two .32 pistols, 10 live ammunition and the letterhead of the banned outfit were recovered from the arrested duo.
