Two cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), including a ‘state committee member’ of the outfit, were arrested by the Police near the bus station in Charla town in Bhadradri Kothagudem District of Telangana on July 20, reports The Hindu. Police identified the arrested duo as Thota Seetharamaiah alias Krishnanna (60), a CPI-Maoist ‘state committee member’, and Padham Rajkumar alias Amarender (25), a ‘Dalam’ (armed squad) member of the CPI-Maoist. A.22 revolver along with six live rounds of.22 calibre, INR 340,000 cash, two mobile phones, a memory card, and a pen drive, besides revolutionary literature, were seized from them. Seetharamaiah, a native of Chintiryala village in Aswapuram Mandal (administrative sub-division) in Bhadradri Kothagudem District, carried a bounty of INR 2 million on his head, while Rajkumar of Nerella village in Dharmapuri Mandal in Jagtial District carried a cash reward of INR 100,000 on his head, the Police said.
