In a press release issued on December 1, the National Resistance Front (NRF) claimed that four Taliban fighters were killed and two others were injured in the overnight gunfight that took place in the Khum-Zargar area of the Hesa Awal-e- Kohestan District in Kapisa Province, reports Hasht-e Subh Daily. The NRF further claimed that they gained possession of three weapons and a Ranger vehicle belonging to the Taliban. As of now, the Taliban have not issued any statements regarding this incident.

On December 1, six Hazara individuals, including two Shia religious scholars named Mohammad Taqi Sadeghi (the imam of the Rasoul-e Azam Mosque) and Mohammad Mohsen Hamidi (the imam of the Hazrat Abolfazl Mosque), were killed and three others were injured in a targeted attack on scholars in the Korra Milli area in Jabraiel city, within the 13th Police District (PD) of Herat, the capital city of Herat Province, reports Hasht-e Subh Daily. In response to this incident, protesters demanded an immediate end to targeted killings of Hazaras and swift apprehension of those responsible. During the demonstration, they carried the victims' bodies as a poignant expression of grief and outrage.
