Kanglaonline reports that a Chinese made hand grenade was recovered and subsequently defused on May 1 from the residence of a contractor, identified as Thongam Nabin (47), close to Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Brajabidhu, at Lamdeng Khunou in Imphal west District. They are identified as one Laimayum Rahichandra alias Tachou alias Tamo alias Thoibi (43), Guruaribam Brajamani alias Inao (33) and a woman cadre, Salam Sapam Gita alias Ebemma (30). It is revealed that Rabichandra prepared all the demand letters for the outfit with the signature of the ‘publicity secretary’ Yaiphaba and he was also instructed to launch an attack at the Airtel towers in the District (Imphal West). Two .32 pistols along with 2 magazines with four live ammunitions, 17 filled demand letters and eight blank demand letters, three lime seals, one round seal and three mobile hand sets were recovered from their possession.
