At least 11 Army personnel were killed when an Army post was attacked by the Baloch Raaji Aajoi Sangar (BRAS) cadres in Azghandi area between Abdoi and Wakai, in Tump town of Kech District in Balochistan on December 16, reports The Balochistan Post. The attackers seized the post and confiscated a cache of army weapons. BRAS on December 17 claimed responsibility for the attack. The group released the photos of the post captured, on its official twitter account. BRAS ‘spokesperson’ Baloch Khan said that “the outposts of Pakistani military were targeted in Azghandi Kaor, Abdoi Tagran. These outposts were fully captured and all enemy belongings and weaponry were confiscated by Baloch freedom fighters,” BRAS spokesman said. He further said in the press release: “In the attack 11 enemy personnel were killed, multiple others were injured and several of the enemy troops fled their outposts leaving behind their colleagues. After fully capturing the outposts, the freedom fighters of BRAS confiscated all the weapons of the enemy forces.”
Separately, a bullet-riddled body of a man was found in the Mohammad Tawa area of Kalat District on December 19, reports Dawn. Levies officials said the local administration received information about the presence of an unattended body. The body was identified as that of Abdul Wahid Mohammadzai, a resident of Mohammad Tawa area. “Several bullet wounds were found on the body of the deceased,” Levies officials said.
