Bagerhat District and Sessions Judge's Court sent 21 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) to jail in two separate sabotage cases filed in 2017 and 2018 on, reports Daily Star. Judge Golak Chandra Biswas of Bagerhat District and Sessions Judge's Court sent the accused to jail after hearing a bail petition filed by them around noon, said Kazi Daud Hossain, the court inspector. The prominent accused sent to jail include, JeI leader Kohinoor Sardar, vice chairman of Mongla Upazila Parishad, JeI leader Mohammad Hossain, councillor of ward 6 in Mongla port municipality; Jamaat leader Mohammad Yunus Ali, councillor of ward 3 in the same municipality; JeI leaders Babar Mussalli and Zahid Molla; Mahbubur Rahman Manik, organising secretary of BNP's Mongla municipality unit; Jubo Dal leader Abu Hossain Pani; Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leader Abul Kashem; and BNP leaders Golam Hossain, Faruk and Ruhul.
