The Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan has announced that 26 militants were killed during the four clearing operations and 90 Special Forces tasks in past 24 hours in different parts of the country, reports Khaama Press. The militants were killed in Kunar, Uruzgan and Kunduz provinces. According to a statement released by the Ministry of Defense, the Afghan Air Forces also conducted 120 flights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out eight airstrikes on enemies’ positions, resulting into the killing of 26 insurgents, 13 were wounded while 2 suspects were arrested. The statement further added that the operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air Forces in Kunar, Logar, Ghazni, Uruzgan, Baghlan, Kunduz and Helmand provinces.
