The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel belonging to the 88 Battalion, recovered nine kilogramsof heroin from Amritsar sector along the India-Pakistan International Border (IB) in Amritsar District of Punjab on September 4, reports The Times of India. According to an official release, on spotting a suspicious movement at the IB, the BSF’s patrolling party challenged the intruder following which they fled back to Pakistan leaving behind the narcotics on the Indian territory which was recovered in a search operation. With this, during the current year, BSF has recovered around 387 kilograms contraband from the IB in Punjab.
