A civilian, identified as Hiralal Bhagat (60) was killed after being hit by a pressure bomb planted by the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), in forest area of Lohardaga District of Jharkhand on June 20, reports Prabhat Khabar. Reportedly the bomb was hidden to target the Security Forces. Bhagat is a resident of Bulbul village of Pesharar Police Station area in Lohardaga District.
Meanwhile, Police arrested a cadre of the Peoples' Liberation Front of India (PLFI), a splinter group of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), identified as Mahaveer Kumhar (24), from Gudri Police Station in West Singhbhum District in Jharkhand on June 20, reports bhaskar.com. Kumhar is a resident of Tujur village and a member of PLFI ‘area commander’ Ajay Purti's squad, was an accused in the case of Arms Act and Witch Prohibition Act of Gudri Police Station area.
