A couple who used to supply explosives to the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres were arrested by the Police from Taragaon under Dhaudai Police Station limits in Narayanpur District of Chhattisgarh on March 21, reports ibc24.in. According to information, the couple used to supply explosives to Maoists under the guise of selling amulets. A tent was set up in Taragaon to sell amulets. The Police raided the spot and arrested the husband and wife. Police also seized 208 kilogrammes of explosives and codex wire from their possession.
Five Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres surrendered to the Police in Sukma District of Chhattisgarh on March 22, reports navbharattimes.indiatimes.com. The surrendered Maoists are identified as Madvi Bhima (33), a member of ‘Dandakaranya Adivasi Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan (DAKMS)’ and was active in Aralampalli ‘Revolutionary Peoples Committee (RPC)’ under Aralampalli Police Station area, Vanjam Pandu (44), a member of the ‘militia’ (people’s army of the Maoists) group active in Polampalli Police Station area, Podium Masa (26), a member of the Burkalanka ‘RPC militia’, Madakam Punga (30), an active ‘militia’ member in the Burkalanka ‘RPC’, and Karatam Manga (20), served for ‘DAKMS’ in the Aralampalli ‘RPC’. Police officials said that the Maoists were troubled by the Maoist ideology and wanted to return to normal life.
