On March 22, the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) released three miners identified as Gyan Thapa, Lekhan Bora and Chandan Narzari who were abducted along with seven other miners in Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh on February 18 by suspected militants of ULFA-I and the Yung Aung faction of National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-K-YA), reports India TodayNE. ULFA-I’s ‘spokesperson’ Rumel Asom revealed in a statement that the three miners were freed at Lalpul near Longvi in Nampong in Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh.
