President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on July 26 on the occasion of the Maldives’ 56th Anniversary of Independence said that extremist views contradict the belief of Islam and called upon the people to unite and stand up against these groups, reports Times of Addu.He also added that spreading Islamophobic hate speech is a treacherous act that divides the people and stated that such acts cannot be tolerated.
