Unidentified assailants on December 2 shot dead two tribal elders in Laiti area of Salarzai tehsil (revenue unit) of Bajaur District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reports UrduPoint. Tribal elders were identified as, Malik Saadat Khan and Malik Shazullah Khan. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Meanwhile, one tribal elder, Malik Maulla Khan, was shot dead in a targeted attack in Miramshah town of North Waziristan District on December 1, reports Dawn. Malik Maulla Khan was purchasing commodities in the Market when unidentified assailants opened fire at him. He belonged to Dyoger Saidgei area near the Afghan border.
Separately, a Shepherd was killed and another injured in a mortar attack from across the Afghan border in Laittay Bando area of Salarzai tehsil in Bajaur District on December 1, reports Dawn. According to District administration, unknown militants fired mortar shells in Laittay Bando area. As a result, a shell hit two shepherds who were grazing their sheep in the mountainous area. Sherin Khan was killed on the spot and Kashmir Khan got injuries.
