Suspected militants on September 8-evening lobbed a grenade towards the 23rd Battalion camp of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp at Mujahid Manzil Islamyarbal in Zaina Kadal area of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Kashmir Times. However, no injury was reported in the incident.
Separately, the Parliamentary Committee of External Affairs on September 8 expressed satisfaction at the improved security situation in J&K and asserted that there was a need for greater efforts to counter false propaganda of the adversaries and share the ground truth at all forums, reports Kashmir Observer. The 11-member MPs panel led by PP Chaudhary, Chairman, Parliamentary Committee of External Affairs, visited Chinar Corps where they were briefed on the situation on the Line of Control (LoC) and in the hinterland, Srinagar based Defence spokesperson, Colonel Emron Musavi said.
