Jharkhand Police on January 25 went to Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) leader Asim Mandal alias Akash's house in Chandrakona in West Midnapore District of West Bengal, with a notice stating that they will give a reward of INR 10 million if the Maoist leader is found, reports anandabazar.com on January 25. Two Policemen from Patamda Police Station limits in Jamshedpur District of Jharkhand, reached the village of Asim, a resident of Phulchak village in Chandrakona, and gave notice to Asim's house on the order of the court. Apart from Asim's house, the notice has also been pasted in populated areas of the village. If Akash does not surrender within a month, his property will be confiscated. Asim is accused of being involved in multiple sabotage incidents not only in Jharkhand but also in West Bengal.
