The United Naga Council (UNC) called for a total shutdown for six hours across the Naga-inhabited areas in Manipur on January 26, to demonstrate their resentment against delaying and frequent backtracking on the political settlement of the historic Indo-Naga Framework Agreement even after six years of signing, reports East Mojo. The shutdown will start at 6 am [IST] and end at 12 pm [IST] on January 26, it said. The imposed shutdown is also for not ensuring justice for the victims of Oting villagers on December 4 and 5, 2021, said UNC.
