Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli and Executive Chairman of the party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal agreed to hold the Standing Committee meeting on September 11, after a hiatus of over two months during their meeting at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar on September 7, reports Republica. The party's General Secretary Bisnu Paudel was present in the meeting. The ongoing standing committee meeting was cancelled on July 28 after Chairman Dahal and other rival faction leaders sought Oli’s resignation from the posts of both prime minister and party chairman. PM Oli, however, skipped that meeting. The two leaders had later agreed to form a six-member task force headed by the party's General Secretary Paudel to recommend ways to settle the intra-party differences.
