Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres have pardoned and released an abducted former Naxal [Left Wing Extremist, LWE] with a caution not to become a traitor with a greed for the money given by the Police in Bhadradri Kothagudem District of Telangana on August 23, reports Telangana Today. A statement from CPI-Maoist Cherla-Sabari Area Committee ‘secretary’ Aruna released to the media in Bhadradri Kothagudem District on August 23 stated that a people’s court was held in the forests on Telangana-Chhattisgarh borders to judge the former Naxal Jeevan, who surrendered to Police sometime back. The Maoists abducted Jeevan three days ago (August 20) from his in-laws’ place at Kistarampadu in Cherla Mandal (administrative sub division) in the District. He hails from Jaggaram village in Chintoor Mandal in Alluri Sitharama Raju District in Andhra Pradesh. In the people’s court Jeevan was made to confess his mistakes and was released.
