Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N), Kamal Thapa, has said that he is ready to form an alliance with the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML) for the November 20 elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assemblies, reports My Republica on August 23. Thapa said that discussions are underway to form alliances with other parties, but there is a high possibility of an alliance with the CPN-UML. "The decision has not been made. We don't have high expectations, either," Chairman Thapa said at a press conference held in Itahari on Tuesday (August 23), "Our party has directly claimed five to ten seats." Thapa said that every political party is insecure if they decide to participate in elections alone. “The alliance is not for the greater good of the country but for gaining power," he said.
