The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres set free one person, identified as Bhalui Gram Panchayat (village level local self-Government institution) Mukhiya (village headman), Ganesh Rajak (46), while another identified as, Rajendra Yadav (70) allegedly escaped from their clutches in Lakhisarai District of Bihar, reports The Times of India on August 8. The duo was abducted from the District along with one Ravindra Rajak on the intervening night of August 3 and 4, as reported by SATP earlier. The Station House Officer (SHO) of Chanan Police Station, Vaibhav Kumar said Ganesh returned home on the night of August 6, after the Maoists set him free in the Kudra forests. “Rajendra was yet to reach home. But we have information that he escaped. Let him return to the village,” the SHO added.
Meanwhile, the Security Forces (SFs) neutralized a gun factory and arrested three persons identified as - Soman Kumar, Pintu Kumar, and Nand Kishore Bhagat at Jamalnagar under Salkhua Police Station limits in Saharsa District of Bihar on August 7, reports The Times of India. As per the report, a team of Special Task Force (STF) neutralized the gun factory and recovered two regular rifles, three country-made pistols, 13 live cartridges, one large lathe machine, one grinder machine, mining machine, two drill machines, one SUV, four cellphones and a large number of partially manufactured firearms and other things from the spot.
