The Public Safety Act (PSA) against former Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was extended by three months on May 5, reports The Times of India. In a brief order, District magistrate of Srinagar handed over the continuation of her custody at her residence, hours before her present term under the PSA was to expire. She was initially detained on August 5 last year (2019) when the Centre abrogated special status of the erstwhile State and bifurcated it into two Union Territories (UTs) -- Ladakh, and Jammu and Kashmir.
