On September 1, in a letter, Nagaland Gaon Bura Federation (NGBF) has urged for an early Naga Peace accord by the end of September, 2020 with or without National Socialist Council of Nagaland – Isak Muivah (NSCN-IM), reports Deccan Chronicle. The letter comes at a time when a massive polarisation exercise has started over for signing of an early peace accord. On August 31, opposition Nagaland People’s Front (NPF), led by former Chief Minister, T.R. Zeliang held a consultative meeting with the NSCN-IM led by its ‘chairman’ Q. Tuccu and urged to be more accommodative with the other Naga political groups. NPF also raised serious allegations over the role of Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio, known for his close proximity with NSCN-IM leader Th Muivah and roping the Naga National Political Group working committee for consultations.
