The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted simultaneous raids at 15 locations in Jammu, Ramban Shopian and Anantnag Districts of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on August 1, on the basis of disclosures made by Lashkar-e-Mustafa (LeM) chief Hidayatullah Malik and Lashkar-e- Toiba (LeT) militant Nadeem-ul-Haq of Banihal and recovered large quantity of terror-related material besides arresting a militant identified as Irfan Ahmad Dar, a resident of Batingoo village in Anantnag District, reports Daily Excelsior.
Police have identified the two militants killed in an encounter with Security Forces (SFs) on July 31 in the forests of Nambian and Marsar area of Pulwama District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India, as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) ‘commander’ Mohammad Ismail Alvi alias Lamboo alias Adnan and Sameer Dar, a resident of Pulwama District, reports Daily Excelsior. Earlier, SATP has reported the incident on July 31. Lamboo was an IED expert and was a key conspirator of militant attack at Lethpora in Pulwama on February 14, 2019. Lamboo was closely associated with JeM chief Masood Azhar and had infiltrated in the year 2017 through Sakargadh Sector, said Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar.
