A blast targeting a Police van wounded nine persons including three Policemen on Spinny Road of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, on October 21, reports The Nation. Police said the blast took place through improvised explosive device (IED) planted in a motorcycle. The blast also caused damage to cars parked nearby.
Separately, the Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) on October 21 recovered 2600 kilogrammes of drugs in Turbat town of Kech District, reports Pakistan Today. PCG personnel intercepted a suspicious dumper truck at a check-post near the Nelant area. 2600 kilogrammes of charas was hidden inside secret chambers of the truck. The PCG spokesperson said that the seized cache of drugs is worth PKR 2850 million in the market.
