Security Forces(SFs) destroyed a Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) camp in Pujariguda forest at Bonda Ghat area in Malkangiri District of Odisha on January 16, reports Odishabytes. As per the report, a joint team of the District Voluntary Force (DVF) and Special Operation Group (SOG) personnel conducted a search operation on January 13 on the basis of the intelligence input about Maoists having set up a camp inside the forest. The Superintendent of Police (SP), Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo said, “During the search operation on January 16, the Maoists hiding inside the forest suddenly opened fire on us. An exchange of fire ensued and the Maoists fled the area. The security personnel later busted a camp inside the forest and seized several articles. A fresh search operation has begun in the forest to track down the rebels.”
