The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre, who was killed in August 1 encounter with the Police at Bodanelli forest area in Cherla Mandal (administrative sub-division) forest area in Bhadradri Kothagudem District of Telangana, has been identified as Madvi Ungal alias Chotu (23), member of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) 1st Battalion of the CPI-Maoist of Chhattisgarh, reports The Hindu on August 2. Police said the deceased Maoist is the brother of the CPI-Maoist’s PLGA 1st Battalion ‘commander’ Madvi Hidma. Chotu hailed from Puvarthi village in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh.
