A standoff occurred between the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khango Konyak cadres (NSCN-K2) and the Assam Rifles when the Assam Rifles tried to arrest ‘brigadier’ Phueka with two cadres of the NSCN-K2 to prevent inter-factional clash between Khango Konyak faction and the Isak Sumi faction of NSCN-K2 and to ensure the security of the civil population in Thilixu village in Chümoukedima District of Nagaland on March 23, reports The Morung Express.
