Police arrested a top The Resistance Front (TRF) militant from Samba District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on February 12, reports Daily Excelsior. Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar, said, following specific information, a team of Police from Anantnag arrested the militant, Zahoor Ahmad Rather alias Sahil alias Khalid of TRF who was hiding in Samba. The IGP further said Zahoor Ahmad was allegedly involved in the killing of three Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers, identified as Fida Hussain Yatoo, Umer Rashid Beigh and Umer Ramzan Hajam, and a Policeman at Furra in YK Pora locality in Kulgam District on October 29, 2020. Earlier, SATP had reported the incident on October 29. TRF is an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant outfit, the IGP maintained.
