India said on August 4, that two more of the seven Indian engineers abducted by suspected Taliban militants in Baghlan Province of Afghanistan in May 2018 had been freed and returned to the country, taking the number of men released so far to six, reports Hindustan Times. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a brief statement that the two Indian nationals were “released from captivity in Afghanistan” on July 31 and “returned to India today [Tuesday]”.
