Two civilians were injured when Pakistan Army violated the Cease Fire Agreement (CFA) in the forward posts and civilian areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on February 25, reports Daily Excelsior. Officials said, the shelling and firing triggered panic in border areas in the district. Pakistani troops lobbed mortars and fired from small arms targeting Kirni, Qasba and Shahpura areas along the LoC, the officials said, adding two civilians identified as Karamat Hussain (19), and Mushtaq Ahmed (22), both from Qasba, suffered injuries due to splinters.
Meanwhile, the Army defused a mortar shell fired by Pakistani troops along the LoC in Poonch District of J&K on February 25, reports Daily Excelsior. Officials said, the shell was found by locals in Balakote belt and the Army was informed. Later, the bomb disposal squad (BDS) safely defused the shell.
