Two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were recovered in separate incidents form Pan Bazar and Paltan Bazar areas of Guwahati in Kamrup (Metro) District of Assam on February 5, reports The Sentinel. As per the report, the recoveries were made following the confessional statement of a militant of United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) identified as, Raktim Gogoi alias Bakhar Asom (25), resident of Pengeri village in Tinsukia District of the State who was earlier arrested on February 3 in the District. According to Police, after planting the IEDs in Guwahati on February 2, Gogoi was returning home when he was arrested by the Police.
