On August 10, Nagaland Police arrested two militants of National Socialist Council of Nagaland- Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) and two civilians for abduction and illegal detention of a woman, reports Morung Express. The accused have been identified as ‘leacy’, Semato Shohe (age 35) of National Socialist Council of Nagaland- Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM), ‘secretary’, Ahuka Yeptho (age 36) of National Socialist Council of Nagaland- Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM), Sunjemtoshi Aier (age 42) and Supong Ao (age 46). According to sources, the arrests were made on different dates following a complaint lodged by the victim that “she was illegally detained by unknown people for four days in an unknown location.” During investigation it was ascertained that the issue originated from the victim’s inability to pay back a loan amounting to several lakhs of rupees to a local credit society. A case has been registered in East Police Station, Dimapur, Nagaland.
